ZyXEL\'s P-792H G.SHDSL 4-port Security Gateway is a cost-effective
DSL solution designed for medium-sized businesses to access the
Internet or remote office networks. It integrates a high-speed DSL
port, 4-port 10/100Mbps auto MDI/MDIX Ethernet switch and Dial-Backup
port to ensure availability of the Internet. Adopting G.SHDSL
technologies, the P-792H provides an ideal high-speed alternative to
leased-line services by providing symmetric LAN-to-LAN and Internet
access transmissions at selectable speeds of up to 2.3Mbps. It can also
be configured as either server or client mode to provide point-to-point
connectivity between two sites.
The P-792H is also a security gateway, which protects networks by
providing robust Firewall security features and standard IPSec Virtual
Private Network tunneling. Additional features such as auto
fail-over/fall-back Dial Backup, Traffic Redirect, and Media Bandwidth
Management will maximize performance while minimizing operation and
maintenance cost.

Stateful Packet Inspection and Denial of Service (DoS), it provides the
first line of defense against hackers, network intruders, and other
hazardous threats.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) Support
The P-792H supports standard IPSec VPN, suitable for site-to-site and
remote access deployment. Data encryption over the Internet ensures
secure data transmission between two sites and can be used to replace a
private leased line or frame relay network; global interconnectivity
can be achieved at a minimal expense.
Auto Fail-over and Fail-back WAN Backup Solution
The P-792H supports fail-over and fail-back WAN Backup Solution by
forwarding traffic to either a backup ISDN or analog modem in the event
of DSL connection failure. When the DSL connection is re-established,
traffic returns. The P-792H also performs backup functions by
redirecting traffic to a specific gateway to ensure availability of the
Internet. The WAN Backup Solution saves device maintenance cost and
minimizes daily operation loss.
Effective Media Bandwidth Management(MBM)*
The P-792H enables network administrators to allocate network resources
while guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS). The MBM (Media Bandwidth
Management) function prioritizes media services, increasing
productivity and efficiency in daily operation by tailoring a system to
specific demands such as VoIP, video streaming, videoconferencing and
MP3 applications.
